Summer fun, and a helping hand from Utility Warehouse

Updated: Jul 22

We are always so grateful when the community offers to lend us some time, manpower and hard graft – to help out at Stable Life. And at this time of year there is no shortage of tasks around the yard.

Last week saw volunteers from Utility Warehouse in Selkirk getting down to some serious hard work in the heat– they spent the day painting, planting, weeding, strimming - basically lots of general yard maintenance and the yard is now looking amazing!

Thank you to everyone who came along, we loved meeting you all!

Utility Warehouse opened its customer service hub in Selkirk last year, when Andrew Lindsay, Co-CEO of Utility Warehouse, said: “As a proud Scot, it’s great to be investing in Selkirk, creating local jobs and long-term career opportunities in the Scottish Borders. Our business is delivering exceptional growth as we help more families than ever before save on their essential household bills. Excellent customer service is fundamental to our success and our new Selkirk team will play a key role in ensuring our prepayment customers receive the very best help and advice.”

Chief Executive of Stable Life Mags Powell commented: ‘We are here in the service of the community, and it’s always amazing to get a chance to meet people who are willing and able to come along and lend a hand when they can, and it was incredible to see what a difference this team has made to the yard in just a day – we are over the moon. Days like this really bring people together.’

Summertime here has been going with a bang as riders have been enjoying everything from camp days to picnic rides, whatever the weather!

If you'd like to come along and lend a few voluntary hours to us here at Stable Life, just get in touch and let us know, or if you're after some horsey summer fun jump onto our online booking system and book into the remaining summer activities - we will see you there!
